For the 9th year, WT Group Supports the Speedway Miracle Tournament

September 2, 2021

For the ninth year in a row, WT Group is supporting Speedway’s Miracle Tournament, a fundraising event that supports the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). These funds help children’s hospitals advance pediatric healthcare by providing critical lifesaving equipment and much needed resources to help treat sick and injured kids. The golf tournament is the centerpiece of Speedway’s fundraising efforts for CMN Hospitals and this year, Steve Howett, Principal-in-Charge, Construction Management, Chris Kalischefski, Principal-in-Charge, Design & Program Management, and Frank Petrich, Project Designer, Design & Program Management, were on the green showing their support.

Across the U.S., 81 children are supported by Speedway’s partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and this year, WT Group is sponsoring Gracie Miehlke, a patient at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Gracie’s journey started when she was just six weeks old. Check out Gracie’s Facebook page, “Amazing Grace, how brave your story!” to learn more about the challenges she has overcome. You can also meet Gracie, and all the Speedway Miracle Kids and see their firsthand experiences, by clicking here.

WT Group is actively committed to supporting the communities we serve and highlighting the importance of children’s hospitals who impact the lives of millions of children and their families is a privilege.

“It’s an honor to be a part of this great effort organized by Speedway,” said Steve Howett. “The fact that this tournament generates so much financial support for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals makes the day that much more enjoyable for all participants. We all hope this will make a real difference for Gracie, her family and children like her across America.”

“Community involvement and support has been one of the WT Group’s defining values since the company was founded 50 years ago,” said Chris Kalichefski. “We look forward to this event every year because we know how important the Children’s Miracle Network is in the lives of children who deserve the best help and support the wider community can provide.”
