February 21, 2022

WT Group was excited to be back in person Soaring to New Heights at the 2022 IAPD/IPRA Conference, January 27-29, at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. After two years of disruption due to the pandemic, meeting in person once again with valued clients and many potential new relationships was a welcome return to normalcy. WT Group team members have been fixtures at this important event in years past, and it was great to be back.

WT Group attendees included Troy Triphahn, Lauren Barraza, John McGovern, Ryan DiFatta, Rich Klarck, Heidi Lapin, and Shelley Zuniga. (Aquatic Engineering, Accessibility Consulting, and Business Development). Demonstrating our ongoing support for this important event, WT Group was a Titanium Sponsor of the 2022 conference, which once again included a branded staircase proudly displaying WT's capabilities.

"Parks and Recreation professionals have had to constantly pivot during the pandemic,” said Heidi Lapin, Principal & Business Development / Project Manager. “They’ve worked tirelessly to continue to provide services to their residents during this challenging time. So, I think people were really excited to see one another in person again, especially since the comradery of professionals in the Parks and Recreation field is unparalleled. It was great to see so many familiar faces and meet some new friends at the conference.”

WT Group attendees were excited to be back on the IAPD/IPRA Conference show floor chatting with current clients and leveraging the opportunities to meet potential, new clients. In keeping with our commitment to optimizing the safety of our employees and clients during the pandemic, we made the tough call to cancel our annual Parks and Recreation cocktail event, with a promise that it will be back next year bigger and better.

“This is a show the WT Group loves and has attended for as many years as we can remember,” said Heidi. “We will continue to come back to see our Parks and Recreation family hoping to engage more amazing projects to elevate the communities in which we all live, work and love.”
